Exeggutor Guide

  • For Crystal, we rate Exeggutor A-Tier: a strong pick in Crystal's competitive scene. At 530 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. Psychic with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In Crystal, watch for Pinsir (Bug), Arcanine (Fire), and Lapras (Ice) when using Exeggutor. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Pinsir is the most dangerous since Bug moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 7 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Exeggutor is a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.

  • For Crystal, Exeggutor has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.

  • In Crystal, run Psychic, Explosion, Giga Drain, and Hiddenpowerfire on Exeggutor. Psychic is the most common pick at 24% usage. Psychic provides reliable STAB damage.

Game Availability

Since debuting in Red & Blue, Exeggutor has appeared in 20 titles over 10 generations. Along the way, it received an Alolan form in Generation 7, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
