Stats & Training
You won't find a real weakness in Celebi's stat line. It's well-rounded for the Time Travel Pokemon, and what it does with that depends on moveset and items. Yields 3 HP EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It has the power to travel across time, but it is said to appear only in peaceful times.

Celebi Weakness
Celebi's Psychic/Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. Bug hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Celebi's overall bulk (100/100/100) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Celebi's coverage across 9 types all comes from technical machines, built on top of Leaf Storm and Future Sight for same-type damage. Future Sight and Leaf Storm are the payoff moves.

How to Get Celebi in Sun & Moon
Celebi doesn't appear in Sun & Moon. Transfer it from Crystal to add it to your collection. Check the source games below for encounter details.
Celebi Guide
For the Sun & Moon meta, At 600 BST, Celebi is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a setup sweeper. Nasty Plot with Psychiumz is the standard set.
In Sun & Moon, watch for Scizor (Bug), Arcanine (Fire), and Lapras (Ice) when using Celebi. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Scizor is the most dangerous since Bug moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 7 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Celebi has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Celebi gets Natural Cure. But Natural Cure is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that. With base 100 Speed, Natural Cure gives Celebi an edge before opponents can react.
Celebi is a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the setup sweeper role.
In Sun & Moon, run Nasty Plot, Psychic, Giga Drain, and Dazzling Gleam on Celebi. Nasty Plot is the most common pick at 25% usage. Psychic provides reliable STAB damage.
