Stats & Training
The stat budget goes to damage. Attack and Defense carry the offense, HP doesn't even come close. A Mushroom Pokemon on a standard growth curve, worth 2 Attack EVs per KO.
Breloom closes in on its foe with light and sprightly footwork, then throws punches with its stretchy arms. This Pokémon’s fighting technique puts boxers to shame.
The seeds ringing Breloom’s tail are made of hardened toxic spores. It is horrible to eat the seeds. Just taking a bite of this Pokémon’s seed will cause your stomach to rumble.
Breloom Weakness
Type-wise, Breloom takes extra damage from Flying, Fire, Ice, Poison, Psychic, and Fairy. Watch out for Flying attacks, those deal 4x damage. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Flying |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Psychic, Fairy |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Ground, Rock, Dark |

Breloom Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Poison Heal changes the entire equation for Breloom. The 460 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a cannon. Spore with Miracleseed is the standard set.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Breloom's biggest threats include Aerodactyl (Flying), Arcanine (Fire), and Walrein (Ice), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Aerodactyl is the most dangerous since Flying moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Psychic, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Poison Heal is what you want on Breloom. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Effect Spore, Technician) work on paper but Poison Heal is what makes Breloom worth using.
Base 70 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Breloom is leaning toward the physical side (base 130 Attack). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a cannon.
For Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, the core moveset is Spore, Bullet Seed, Mach Punch, and Swords Dance. Spore leads at 24% usage. This set covers the cannon role with a mix of damage and utility.
