Torracat Evolutions
Torracat is the middle stage between Litten and Incineroar. It's a three-stage line with one more evolution to go. For breeding, quick to hatch with a massive partner pool via one egg group. HP has grown the most so far (+20), but there's still another 110 stats to gain in the final evolution. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
SwSh Torracat Best Moveset
Better than Litten at 85 Attack and 90 Speed, but still one evolution from competitive viability. AbilityIntimidate hidden gives defensive utility on entry. The moveset previews Incineroar without the moveset depth. Fire TermStab at this power can't justify a slot.

Moves List
Breeding's the move. Fake Out and Parting Shot give Torracat options it can't learn any other way, and coverage across 7 types already covers a decent range on top of Overheat and Flare Blitz. The egg moves push it further.

In the midst of battle, the fire pouch on Torracat’s neck rings like a bell and produces stronger flames than usual.
When facing a powerful enemy, Torracat’s fighting spirit gets pumped up, and its fire bell blazes hotter.
Torracat Sword & Shield Guide
In Sword & Shield, Torracat isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Incineroar to unlock its full potential. At 420 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Sword & Shield, Run Intimidate on Torracat. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Torracat also gets Blaze, but they don't compare.
In Sword & Shield, Intimidate is the hidden ability. It lowers opponents' Attack one stage upon entering battle. Worth hunting for if you want Torracat to compete at a higher level.
In Sword & Shield, Torracat fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 85 Attack. Base 90 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile, can't afford to take many hits.
Game Availability
Introduced in Sun & Moon, Torracat has appeared in 4 games across 4 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
