Torracat Sun & Moon Guide
In Sun & Moon, Torracat isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Incineroar to unlock its full potential. At 420 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Sun & Moon, Run Intimidate on Torracat. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Torracat also gets Blaze, but they don't compare.
In Sun & Moon, Intimidate is the hidden ability. It lowers opponents' Attack one stage upon entering battle. Worth hunting for if you want Torracat to compete at a higher level.
In Sun & Moon, Torracat fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 85 Attack. Base 90 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile, can't afford to take many hits.
Game Availability
Introduced in Sun & Moon, Torracat has appeared in 4 games across 4 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
