Greedent Scarlet & Violet Guide
For Scarlet & Violet, we rate Greedent C-Tier: a niche pick in Scarlet & Violet's meta. At 460 BST, it fits the trick room role. Knock Off with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.
In Scarlet & Violet, Greedent's biggest threats include Conkeldurr (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 20 Speed, Greedent won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Cheek Pouch is the go-to ability for Greedent. It restores HP upon eating a Berry, in addition to the Berry's effect. Its hidden ability Gluttony can work in specific setups.
Base 20 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Greedent is a physical attacker with base 95 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a trick room.
For Scarlet & Violet, the core moveset is Knock Off, Body Slam, Bodypress, and Earthquake. Knock Off leads at 0% usage. This set covers the trick room role with a mix of damage and utility.
