Combusken Emerald Guide
Combusken is meant to evolve into Blaziken. At 405 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Blaze is the go-to ability for Combusken. It strengthens fire moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. It's Combusken's only ability.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Combusken is a mixed attacker with base 85 Attack and 85 Sp. Atk.
For Emerald, you can run Combusken through the first few routes without issues. 405 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Blaziken as fast as you can.
