Stats & Training
Speed and Defense carry most of Whimsicott's stat budget. HP's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Speed EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
They appear along with whirlwinds. They pull pranks, such as moving furniture and leaving balls of cotton in homes.

Whimsicott Weakness
Whimsicott's Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. 5 weaknesses means you'll want teammates that can handle the coverage gaps.

Whimsicott Guide
In Black 2 & White 2, Prankster changes the entire equation for Whimsicott. The 480 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a pivot. Stun Spore with Focus Sash is the standard set.
Prankster is what you want on Whimsicott. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Infiltrator, Chlorophyll) work on paper but Prankster is what makes Whimsicott worth using.
Base 116 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Whimsicott is leaning toward the special side (base 77 Sp. Atk). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.
In Black 2 & White 2, Whimsicott's hidden ability is Chlorophyll. Doubles Speed during strong sunlight. Better than the standard options for competitive play.
Game Availability
Whimsicott joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
