Pidove Weakness

Pidove's Normal/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Ice, and Rock. It shrugs off Ground and Ghost-type attacks completely.

Moves

The natural movepool does the job, but Bestow and Hypnosis from the egg pool give Pidove something extra. Pair those with Sky Attack and Fly for STAB and Bug and Steel coverage for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

Pidove Guide

  • Tranquill at level 21 is the mid-stage. Push through to Unfezant at level 32 for the final form. 264 BST right now won't cut it long-term.

  • Level 21 gets you Tranquill. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Pidove does the job early-game if you need a Normal/Flying type on your team. Evolve it into Tranquill before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.

  • You can find Pidove in Black 2 & White 2. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 6 other games across the series.

Game Availability

Introduced in Black & White, Pidove has appeared in 7 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
