Stats & Training
Wailord's spread is anchored by HP, with balanced defenses backing it up. Defense is the clear weak point. Worth 2 HP EVs per KO, and the standard growth curve keeps leveling painless.
They eat so many fish Pokémon that when Wailord become too numerous, fishermen have to chase them off.
When a small Wailmer is attacked by Sharpedo or Dhelmise, its whole pod works together to protect it.

Wailord Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Wailord has a 500 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon's meta. It works best as a support. Waterspout with Leftovers is the standard set.
Water Veil prevents burns. That's the one you want on Wailord. Pressure is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Oblivious works too if your team needs something different.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Wailord fills the support role. It's a special attacker with base 90 Sp. Atk. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Wailord has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Electric and Grass-type attackers hit hardest.
