Stats & Training
Attack and Sp. Atk carry most of Decidueye's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 3 Attack EVs. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It nocks its arrow quills and shoots them at opponents. When it simply can’t afford to miss, it tugs the vine on its head to improve its focus.
Decidueye can nock and fire an arrow at an enemy in a tenth of a second, so its battles are decided in the blink of an eye.
Decidueye Weakness
Decidueye is weak to Fire, Ice, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. On the flip side, it's immune to Normal and Fighting-type moves entirely. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Decidueye's special bulk (base 100 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Evolution
End of the line. Decidueye caps a three-stage chain that started at Rowlet. Breeding produces the base form, and eggs are quick to hatch. Attack grew the most through evolution (+52 over Rowlet), and Decidueye peaks at 530 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Decidueye to get Rowlet eggs using 58 partners from the Flying egg group. Notable egg moves include Baton Pass, Confuse Ray, Curse and 3 more.
Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Decidueye Best Moveset
For a setup attacker, Decidueye wants flexible EVs and Decidiumz. The Hardy nature tilts toward balanced duty, and Overgrow contributes without taking a move slot.

How to Get Decidueye in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon
You're catching Rowlet first, not Decidueye. Rowlet appears at moderate rates in the encounters below. The step cards map the full 3-stage chain with evolution methods between each stage.
Decidueye Guide
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, we rate Decidueye C-Tier: a niche pick in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon's meta. At 530 BST, it fits the attacker role. Phantomforce with Decidiumz is the standard set.
Overgrow is the go-to ability for Decidueye. It strengthens grass moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Long Reach can work in specific setups.
Base 70 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Decidueye is a mixed attacker with base 107 Attack and 100 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, the core moveset is Phantomforce, Nasty Plot, Shadow Sneak, and Spiritshackle. Phantomforce leads at 25% usage. This set covers the attacker role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Since debuting in Sun & Moon, Decidueye has appeared in 5 titles over 4 generations. Along the way, it received a Hisuian form in Generation 8, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
