Ice, Fighting, Ground, Dragon, Steel, and Fairy moves hit Tyrantrum for super-effective damage. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Tyrantrum's physical bulk (base 119 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Strong Jaw changes the entire equation for Tyrantrum. The 521 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Head Smash with Choice Scarf is the standard set.
Strong Jaw is what you want on Tyrantrum. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Rock Head) work on paper but Strong Jaw is what makes Tyrantrum worth using. On wall sets, Strong Jaw pairs with Tyrantrum's base 119 Defense to absorb physical hits on the switch.
Base 71 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Tyrantrum is a physical attacker with base 121 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Tyrantrum has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Special attackers bypass its physical bulk.
