Stats & Training
Tropius's spread favors balanced defenses over offense. HP leads the defensive side, Speed eats the cost. Yields 2 HP EVs per defeat. Slow 1.25M XP grind to level.
The bunches of fruit around Tropius’s neck are very popular with children. This Pokémon loves fruit, and eats it continuously. Apparently, its love for fruit resulted in its own outgrowth of fruit.
Children of the southern tropics eat as snacks the fruit that grows in bunches around the neck of Tropius. This Pokémon flies by flapping the leaves on its back as if they were wings.
Tropius Weakness
Ice, Fire, Poison, Flying, and Rock moves hit Tropius for super-effective damage. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all.

Tropius Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Don't let Tropius's 460 base stat total fool you. Chlorophyll is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier. Dragon Dance with Liechiberry is the standard set.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, watch for Lapras (Ice), Charizard (Fire), and Nidoking (Poison) when using Tropius. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Lapras is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Run Chlorophyll on Tropius. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Tropius also gets Solar Power and Harvest, but they don't compare.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Tropius fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 72 Sp. Atk. At base 51 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, run Dragon Dance, Fly, Leafblade, and Substitute on Tropius. Dragon Dance is the most common pick at 13% usage. Fly provides reliable STAB damage.
