Stats & Training
Swalot's built to absorb hits, not race for knockouts. Balanced defenses with HP doing the heavy lifting. And the standard growth curve means it won't take forever to bring up, worth 2 HP EVs.
Its powerful stomach acid is capable of digesting almost anything. The one thing in the whole world a SWALOT can’t digest is its own stomach.
Swalot Weakness
Ground and Psychic moves hit Swalot for super-effective damage. The Poison typing picks up 4 resistances to work with. With 100 HP and balanced defenses, Swalot can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
| Damage | Types |

Emerald Evolution
Swalot is what Gulpin becomes. Breed it for Gulpin eggs (average hatch time). A decent partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolution from Gulpin pushed Swalot to 467 total stats. HP saw the largest single gain at +30. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Swalot to get Gulpin eggs easily using 22 partners from the Indeterminate egg group. Notable egg moves include Acid Armor, Dream Eater, Pain Split and 1 more.
Emerald Swalot Best Moveset
Bulk and offense in one package. Swalot runs Leftovers for passive recovery each turn with a Adamant nature, so it survives long enough to threaten with Sludge Bomb. Max HP and Attack EVs and Normal coverage make it hard to safely switch into.

Swalot Guide
In Emerald, Swalot brings 467 BST to the table. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in Emerald's meta. Sludge Bomb with Leftovers is the standard set.
Liquid Ooze damages opponents using leeching moves for as much as they would heal. That's the one you want on Swalot. Gluttony is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Sticky Hold works too if your team needs something different.
Swalot is a physical attacker with base 73 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often.
For Emerald, Swalot has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Ground and Psychic-type attackers hit hardest.
