Stats & Training
Sliggoo's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Def leads, Defense trails, 2 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Def EVs, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It drives away opponents by excreting a sticky liquid that can dissolve anything. Its eyes devolved, so it can’t see anything.
Its four horns are a high-performance radar system. It uses them to sense sounds and smells, rather than using ears or a nose.
Sliggoo Weakness
Ice, Dragon, and Fairy moves hit Sliggoo for super-effective damage. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Sap Sipper grants an additional Grass immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Sliggoo's special bulk (base 113 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Moves
Don't skip the egg moves. Sliggoo picks up Acid Armor and Counter only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Draco Meteor and Outrage while coverage across 10 types adds range.

Sliggoo Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Sliggoo isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Goodra to unlock its full potential. At 452 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Run Sap Sipper on Sliggoo. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Sliggoo also gets Hydration and Gooey, but they don't compare.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Sliggoo fills the balanced role. It's a mixed attacker with base 75 Attack and 83 Sp. Atk. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
Sliggoo first appeared in X & Y and spans 8 games across 5 generations. It later gained a Hisuian form in Generation 8, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
