Stats & Training
Sp. Def leads and Defense gets almost nothing. That's Goodra's stat line in a nutshell. 5 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Tough to catch and yields 3 Sp. Def EVs.
This very friendly Dragon-type Pokémon will hug its beloved Trainer, leaving that Trainer covered in sticky slime.
It attacks with retractable horns. It throws a punch that’s the equivalent of the force of a hundred pro boxers.
Goodra Weakness
Type-wise, Goodra takes extra damage from Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Sap Sipper grants an additional Grass immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Goodra's special bulk (base 150 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

How to Obtain Goodra in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire
Goodra Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Sap Sipper changes the entire equation for Goodra. The 600 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a tank. Thunderbolt with Assault Vest is the standard set.
Sap Sipper is what you want on Goodra. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Hydration, Gooey) work on paper but Sap Sipper is what makes Goodra worth using.
Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Goodra is a special attacker with base 110 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a tank.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, the best way to handle Goodra: Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.
Game Availability
Since debuting in X & Y, Goodra has appeared in 8 titles over 5 generations. Along the way, it received a Hisuian form in Generation 8, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
