Stats & Training
Bulk defines Miltank's stat line. Defense and Speed anchor the defensive side, but Sp. Atk can't keep up offensively. Tough to catch and worth 2 Defense EVs.
If it is around babies, the milk it produces contains much more nutrition than usual.
Its milk is packed with nutrition, making it the ultimate beverage for the sick or weary.
Miltank Weakness
Fighting moves hit Miltank for super-effective damage. The upside? Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. Thick Fat reduces Fire/Ice damage, further improving the defensive spread. Miltank's physical bulk (base 105 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

X & Y Miltank Locations
Miltank's scattered across 6 spots in early-game routes with high spawn rates. Check the list below for the closest location to wherever you are in the game. This one's quick.
Best Locations to Catch Miltank in X & Y
walking encounters for Miltank across 6 spots at Lv. 14-27. The catch is that Y and X don't share every location, so compare what's available in your version.
Miltank Guide
In X & Y, Sap Sipper changes the entire equation for Miltank. The 490 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a pivot. Heal Bell with Leftovers is the standard set.
In X & Y, watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Miltank. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Sap Sipper is what you want on Miltank. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Thick Fat, Scrappy) work on paper but Sap Sipper is what makes Miltank worth using.
Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Miltank is a physical attacker with base 80 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.
In X & Y, run Heal Bell, Icepunch, Firepunch, and Milkdrink on Miltank. Heal Bell is the most common pick at 16% usage. This set covers the pivot role with a mix of damage and utility.
