  • Get Marill to Azumarill at level 18. At 250 BST, Marill is just the starting point.

  • Level 18 gets you Azumarill. Quick enough that Marill barely slows you down.

  • In Black & White, Marill does the job early-game if you need a water type on your team. Evolve it into Azumarill before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
