Stats & Training
Sp. Atk and Sp. Def carry most of Lunatone's stat budget. Attack's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a fast 800K XP curve.
Because it turns active on nights of the full moon, it is said to have some link to the lunar phases.
It was discovered at the site of a meteor strike 40 years ago. Its stare can lull its foes to sleep.
Lunatone Weakness

Lunatone Guide
For X & Y, it depends on your team. Lunatone at 440 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Rock/Psychic coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
In X & Y, Levitate changes the entire equation for Lunatone. The 440 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier. Ancientpower with Leftovers is the standard set.
Levitate is what you want on Lunatone. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind.
Lunatone's best stat is Sp. Atk at base 95. Rock/Psychic typing resists 5 types, so it can switch in safely on a lot of moves.
