Stats & Training
Defense and Speed carry most of Skorupi's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 1 Defense EV. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It burrows under the sand to lie in wait for prey. Its tail claws can inject its prey with a savage poison.

Skorupi Weakness
Skorupi's Poison/Bug typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Psychic, and Rock. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Skorupi's physical bulk (base 90 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Flying, Psychic, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Poison, Bug |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Grass, Fighting |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Gliscor's Earthquake hits Skorupi for 52-61%. Aerodactyl threatens a KO with Stone Edge (141-166%).
