Magnemite Weakness

Ground, Fire, and Fighting moves hit Magnemite for super-effective damage. Ground hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. 12 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that.

Magnemite Guide

  • Magneton at level 30 is the mid-stage. Push through to Magnezone using a Thunder Stone for the final form. 325 BST right now won't cut it long-term.

  • Level 30 gets you Magneton. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.

  • In Diamond & Pearl, Magnemite does the job early-game if you need a Electric/Steel type on your team. Evolve it into Magneton before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.

  • You can find Magnemite in Diamond & Pearl. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 20 other games across the series.

Game Availability

Magnemite has been part of the series since Red & Blue, appearing in 21 titles across all 10 generations. As a Gen 1 original, it's one of the most consistently available Pokemon in the franchise.
