Stats & Training
Nothing fancy in Drapion's spread. It leans physical with Defense out front. And you'll get 2 Defense EVs per KO for it. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It takes pride in its strength. Even though it can tear foes apart, it finishes them off with powerful poison.
It has the power in its clawed arms to make scrap of a car. The tips of its claws release poison.
Drapion Weakness
Drapion is weak to Ground. On the flip side, it's immune to Psychic-type moves entirely. The Poison/Dark typing picks up 4 resistances to work with. Drapion's physical bulk (base 110 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Drapion Guide
In X & Y, Drapion works as a pivot with 500 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in X & Y's meta. Knock Off with Liechiberry is the standard set.
In X & Y, Drapion's biggest threats include Golem (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Battle Armor is the go-to ability for Drapion. It protects against critical hits. Its hidden ability Keen Eye can work in specific setups. Sniper is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
Drapion is leaning toward the physical side (base 90 Attack). Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 95 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. Fits the pivot role.
For X & Y, the core moveset is Knock Off, Crosspoison, Toxic Spikes, and Whirlwind. Knock Off leads at 25% usage. This set covers the pivot role with a mix of damage and utility.
