Stats & Training
Defense and Attack carry most of Klinklang's stat budget. HP's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 3 Defense EVs. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
From its spikes, it launches powerful blasts of electricity. Its red core contains an enormous amount of energy.
The three gears that compose this Pokémon spin at high speed. Its new spiked gear isn’t a living creature.
Klinklang Weakness
Fire, Fighting, and Ground moves hit Klinklang for super-effective damage. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. With 10 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Klinklang's physical bulk (base 115 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

How to Get Klinklang in Sun & Moon
No wild encounters for Klinklang. The 3-stage chain runs through Klink, which you can catch at moderate rates from the locations below. Evolve at level 49 once you've got the levels.
Klinklang Guide
For Sun & Moon, we rate Klinklang C-Tier: a niche pick in Sun & Moon's meta. At 520 BST, it fits the pivot role. Geargrind with Electriumz is the standard set.
Plus increases Special Attack to 1.5× when a friendly Pokémon has plus or minus. That's the one you want on Klinklang. Clear Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Minus works too if your team needs something different.
Base 90 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Klinklang is leaning toward the physical side (base 100 Attack). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.
In Sun & Moon, run Geargrind, Shiftgear, Wild Charge, and Magnetrise on Klinklang. Geargrind is the most common pick at 25% usage. This set covers the pivot role with a mix of damage and utility.
