Klang Weakness

Klang is weak to Fire, Fighting, and Ground. On the flip side, it's immune to Poison-type moves entirely. 11 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. With 60 HP and balanced defenses, Klang can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Black 2 & White 2 Klang Best Moveset

Klang's built to absorb hits. Impish nature leans into physical wall duty, Eviolite gives it a bulk boost that only works before full evolution, and Rest handles sustain. Clearbody and max HP and Defense EVs tie the defensive profile together.

Klang Guide

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Klang isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Klinklang to unlock its full potential. At 440 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Klang's biggest threats include Charizard (Fire), Hitmonlee (Fighting), and Swampert (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Klink evolves into Klang at level 38. Klang evolves into Klinklang at level 49. Klang is a middle-stage evolution in the Klink line.

  • Plus is the go-to ability for Klang. It increases Special Attack to 1.5× when a friendly Pokémon has plus or minus. Its hidden ability Clear Body can work in specific setups. Minus is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Klang fills the balanced role. It's leaning toward the physical side (base 80 Attack). Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

Game Availability

Introduced in Black & White, Klang has appeared in 7 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
