Hoppip Weakness

Hoppip's Grass/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Fire, Poison, Flying, and Rock. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Ground-type attacks completely.

Hoppip Guide

  • Skiploom at level 18 is the mid-stage. Push through to Jumpluff at level 27 for the final form. 250 BST right now won't cut it long-term.

  • Level 18 gets you Skiploom. Quick enough that Hoppip barely slows you down.

  • For Scarlet & Violet, you can run Hoppip through the first few routes without issues. 250 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Skiploom as fast as you can.

  • You can find Hoppip in Scarlet & Violet. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 15 other games across the series.

Game Availability

Available in 16 titles since its debut in Gold & Silver, Hoppip spans 9 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through catching or hatching as a base form in most mainline games.
