From its beak, it expels embers that set the tall grass on fire. Then it pounces on the bewildered prey that pop out of the grass.

Moves

Breeding's the move. Quick Guard and Snatch give Fletchinder options it can't learn any other way, and Normal and Steel coverage and more already covers a decent range on top of Overheat and Fire Blast. The egg moves push it further.

Fletchinder Guide

  • At 382 BST, Fletchinder is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Talonflame before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Fletchinder's biggest threats include Tyranitar (Rock), Swampert (Water), and Rotom (Electric), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Tyranitar is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Fletchling evolves into Fletchinder at level 17. Fletchinder evolves into Talonflame at level 35. Fletchinder is a middle-stage evolution in the Fletchling line.

  • Flame Body is the go-to ability for Fletchinder. It has a 30% chance of burning attacking Pokémon on contact. Its hidden ability Gale Wings can work in specific setups.

  • Fletchinder is a physical attacker with base 73 Attack. Fragile, can't afford to take many hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 84 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many.

Game Availability

Since X & Y, Fletchinder has been obtainable in 7 games. A Generation 6 debut means a shorter history, but Fletchinder has appeared steadily across every generation since.
