Fletchinder scatters embers in tall grass where bug Pokémon might be hiding and then catches them as they come leaping out.

Fletchinder Weakness

Type-wise, Fletchinder takes extra damage from Rock, Water, and Electric. Watch out for Rock attacks, those deal 4x damage. Ground moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.

Legends: Z-A Evolution

Fletchinder sits between Fletchling and Talonflame in this three-stage line. Not the final form yet. For breeding, quick to hatch with a decent partner pool via one egg group. Attack has grown the most so far (+23), but there's still another 117 stats to gain in the final evolution. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.

Legends: Z-A Fletchinder Best Moveset

Bulk and offense in one package. Fletchinder runs Heavy-Duty Boots for hazard immunity on every switch-in with a Modest nature, so it survives long enough to threaten with Overheat. Max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs and utility options make it hard to safely switch into.

Moves

Most of Fletchinder's flexibility comes from TMs. Same-type output runs through Overheat and Flare Blitz, but Normal and Steel and the rest of the TM pool push it from predictable to genuinely threatening.

Fletchinder Guide

  • At 382 BST, Fletchinder is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Talonflame before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • In Legends: Z-A, Fletchinder's biggest threats include Tyranitar (Rock), Swampert (Water), and Rotom (Electric), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Tyranitar is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage.

  • In Legends: Z-A, Fletchling evolves into Fletchinder at level 17. Fletchinder evolves into Talonflame at level 35. Fletchinder is a middle-stage evolution in the Fletchling line.

  • Flame Body is the go-to ability for Fletchinder. It has a 30% chance of burning attacking Pokémon on contact. Its hidden ability Gale Wings can work in specific setups.

  • Fletchinder is leaning toward the physical side (base 73 Attack). Fragile, can't afford to take many hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 84 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. Fits the support role.

Game Availability

Since X & Y, Fletchinder has been obtainable in 7 games. A Generation 6 debut means a shorter history, but Fletchinder has appeared steadily across every generation since.
