Swoobat Guide

  • In Black & White, Swoobat's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric), Kyurem (Ice), and Golem (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Ghost and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Swoobat's base 114 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.

  • In Black & White, Woobat evolves into Swoobat by leveling up. Swoobat is the fully evolved form. It sits at 425 BST in its evolved form.

  • In Black & White, Swoobat can work for a story run. 425 BST is average, but Psychic/Flying typing fills a niche depending on your team composition.

  • In Black & White, Don't let Swoobat's 425 base stat total fool you. Unaware is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a pivot. Calm Mind with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In Black & White, Run Unaware on Swoobat. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Swoobat also gets Klutz and Simple, but they don't compare.

Game Availability

Introduced in Black & White, Swoobat has appeared in 7 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
