Intense hunger drives it to extremes of violence, and the electricity in its cheek sacs has converted into a Dark-type energy.

Morpeko Weakness

Fighting, Ground, Bug, and Fairy moves hit Morpeko for super-effective damage. The upside? Psychic-type moves can't touch it at all. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Morpeko leans offensive (base 95 Atk) rather than trying to tank its weaknesses.

Legends: Z-A Morpeko Best Moveset

The build revolves around Parting Shot for safe pivoting. Hungerswitch and Heavy-Duty Boots support Morpeko's hit-and-run approach, with max Attack and Speed EVs making sure each pivot actually threatens. The remaining moves adds versatility.

Morpeko Guide

  • In Legends: Z-A, watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting), Swampert (Ground), and Scizor (Bug) when using Morpeko. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Fairy-type attackers are also a problem.

  • For Legends: Z-A, it depends on your team. Morpeko at 436 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Electric/Dark coverage might be exactly what you're missing.

  • For Legends: Z-A, we rate Morpeko C-Tier: a niche pick in Legends: Z-A's meta. At 436 BST, the stats are spread pretty evenly. Aurawheel with Heavy-Duty Boots is the standard set.

  • Hunger Switch causes Morpeko to change its form each turn, alternating between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode. That's the one you want on Morpeko. It's the only ability Morpeko has.

  • Morpeko's best stat is Speed at base 97. Electric/Dark typing resists 6 types, so it can switch in safely on a lot of moves.

Game Availability

Morpeko joined the series in Sword & Shield and has been available in 3 titles so far. With 3 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
