Stats & Training
Attack and Sp. Atk carry most of Eelektross's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 3 Attack EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
With their sucker mouths, they suck in prey. Then they use their fangs to shock the prey with electricity.
They crawl out of the ocean using their arms. They will attack prey on shore and immediately drag it into the ocean.
Eelektross Weakness
Eelektross is weak to Ground. Few weaknesses and 3 resistances make the typing clean. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. With 85 HP and balanced defenses, Eelektross can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Ground |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Electric, Flying, Steel |
In X & Y, Excadrill can KO Eelektross with Earthquake (95-112%).

X & Y Evolution

How to Evolve
X & Y Eelektross Best Moveset
For a defensive wall, Eelektross wants spread EVs and Sitrus Berry. The Sassy nature tilts toward slow wall duty, and Levitate contributes without taking a move slot.

How to Get Eelektross in X & Y
No wild encounters for Eelektross in X & Y. Bring Tynamo over from Black, Black 2, or Scarlet, then level through the stages. Each step in the chain is laid out below.
How to Obtain Eelektross in X & Y
Eelektross Guide
In X & Y, Levitate changes the entire equation for Eelektross. The 515 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Superfang with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.
In X & Y, Eelektross's biggest threats include Excadrill (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Levitate is what you want on Eelektross. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind.
Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Eelektross is a special attacker with base 105 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For X & Y, the core moveset is Superfang, Toxic, Thunderbolt, and Grassknot. Superfang leads at 14% usage. Thunderbolt provides reliable STAB damage.
