Druddigon Guide

  • In Sword & Shield, Don't let Druddigon's 485 base stat total fool you. Sheer Force is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Glare with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In Sword & Shield, watch for Cloyster (Ice), Salamence (Dragon), and Togekiss (Fairy) when using Druddigon. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • In Sword & Shield, Run Sheer Force on Druddigon. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Druddigon also gets Rough Skin and Mold Breaker, but they don't compare.

  • In Sword & Shield, Druddigon fills the wallbreaker role. It's a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Base 48 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

  • In Sword & Shield, Druddigon's hidden ability is Mold Breaker. Bypasses targets' abilities if they could hinder or prevent a move. Better than the standard options for competitive play.

Game Availability

Introduced in Black & White, Druddigon has appeared in 7 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
