After being reborn as a ghost Pokémon, Dreepy wanders the areas it used to inhabit back when it was alive in prehistoric seas.

Dreepy Weakness

Ice, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy moves hit Dreepy for super-effective damage. The upside? Normal and Fighting-type moves can't touch it at all. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that.

Dreepy Guide

  • Drakloak at level 50 is the mid-stage. Push through to Dragapult at level 60 for the final form. 270 BST right now won't cut it long-term.

  • Level 50 gets you Drakloak. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.

  • In Sword & Shield, Dreepy does the job early-game if you need a Dragon/Ghost type on your team. Evolve it into Drakloak before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.

  • You can find Dreepy in Sword & Shield. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 1 other game across the series.

Game Availability

Introduced in Sword & Shield, Dreepy has appeared in 2 games across 3 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
