Nothing fancy in Alcremie's spread. It leans special with Sp. Def out front. And you'll get 2 Sp. Def EVs per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

The moment it evolved, it took on a sweet and tart flavor. This is because of the way its cells spontaneously shifted during evolution.

Alcremie Weakness

Poison and Steel moves hit Alcremie for super-effective damage. The upside? Dragon-type moves can't touch it at all. Alcremie's special bulk (base 121 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Sword & Shield Alcremie Best Moveset

The physical wall spread is where Alcremie earns its spot. Chestoberry for extra utility, Bold nature for the right lean, and Rest handles sustain. Aromaveil does the rest without needing a move slot.

The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Alcremie's Normal and Fighting coverage and more all comes from technical machines, built on top of Misty Explosion and Play Rough for same-type damage. Energy Ball and Giga Impact are the payoff moves.

Alcremie Guide

  • In Sword & Shield, Alcremie works as an attacker with 495 BST behind it. A-Tier on our list: a strong pick in Sword & Shield's competitive scene. Calm Mind with Chestoberry is the standard set.

  • In Sword & Shield, watch for Naganadel (Poison) and Scizor (Steel) when using Alcremie. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Sweet Veil prevents friendly Pokémon from sleeping. That's the one you want on Alcremie. Aroma Veil is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.

  • Alcremie is a special attacker with base 110 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 64 Speed, it won't be moving first often. Fits the attacker role.

  • For Sword & Shield, Alcremie has answers, but so do you. Faster attackers outpace it. Anything with a super-effective STAB move and decent speed can revenge kill.

Game Availability

Available since Sword & Shield, Alcremie appears in 2 games spanning 3 generations. Beyond its original form, it gained a Gigantamax form in Generation 8.
