Stats & Training
Dreepy's spread isn't flashy. Speed leads, HP trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 1 Speed EV, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
In the evening, groups of Dreepy will fly at high speeds over the ocean and poke at Pokémon in the water for fun.
It has a habit of biting at Clauncher even though it doesn’t feed on them. This is said to be vestigial behavior from when Dreepy was alive.
Dreepy Weakness
Ice, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy moves hit Dreepy for super-effective damage. The upside? Normal and Fighting-type moves can't touch it at all. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that.

Scarlet & Violet Evolution
Dreepy is the start of a three-stage chain. It evolves into Drakloak first, then eventually reaches Dragapult. For breeding, takes forever to hatch with plenty of partners via two egg groups. The evolved forms gain up to 330 total stats over Dreepy. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed Dreepy easily with 53 breeding partners from the Indeterminate and Dragon egg groups. Pass egg moves like Confuse Ray, Curse, Disable and 3 more to offspring.
Scarlet & Violet Dreepy Best Moveset
Start with spread EVs. Jolly nature gives Dreepy the right fast physical lean, Life Orb adds extra damage on every hit for a health trade, and Infiltrator works in the background. Sucker Punch is the main damage option.

Moves
Without breeding, Dreepy misses out on Confuse Ray and Curse. That's 6 egg moves adding depth that the base kit lacks. STAB comes from Draco Meteor and Dragon Tail, with Dark and Bug coverage rounding things out.

In Scarlet & Violet, Dreepy does the job early-game if you need a Dragon/Ghost type on your team. Evolve it into Drakloak before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
