Stats & Training
Defense and Sp. Atk carry most of Archaludon's stat budget. Sp. Def's the obvious dump stat. Very hard to catch and yields 3 Defense EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Archaludon Weakness
Type-wise, Archaludon takes extra damage from Fighting and Ground. Poison moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. With 9 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Archaludon's physical bulk (base 130 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Moves
TMs carry this one. Archaludon learns Steel Beam and Draco Meteor naturally for STAB, but the offensive range comes almost entirely from technical machines. Fighting and Normal and beyond give it real matchup play.

How to Get Archaludon in Scarlet & Violet
Archaludon Guide
For Scarlet & Violet, we rate Archaludon A-Tier: a strong pick in Scarlet & Violet's competitive scene. At 600 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. Electroshot with Assault Vest is the standard set.
In Scarlet & Violet, Archaludon's biggest threats include Conkeldurr (Fighting) and Landorus (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Stamina is the go-to ability for Archaludon. It raises this Pokémon's Defense by one stage when it takes damage from a move. Its hidden ability Stalwart can work in specific setups. Sturdy is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Archaludon is a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wallbreaker.
In Scarlet & Violet, the best way to handle Archaludon: Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.
