This vicious Pokémon sprays a poisonous liquid on opponents that come near. For whatever reason, it gets along really well with Dhelmise.

Dragalge Weakness

Dragalge's Poison/Dragon typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Ground, Psychic, and Dragon. With 7 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Dragalge's special bulk (base 123 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Dragalge Best Moveset

Life Orb and Adaptability form the backbone. Dragalge invests spread EVs to play its special attacker role properly, and Modest nature pushes Sp. Atk higher. Draco Meteor handles the heavy lifting on offense. The remaining moves rounds it out.

STAB runs through Draco Meteor and Gunk Shot for the basics, but Dragalge's real strength is the 10-type coverage spread. Dark and Normal hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.

Dragalge Guide

  • In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Adaptability changes the entire equation for Dragalge. The 494 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier. Draco Meteor with Life Orb is the standard set.

  • In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Dragalge can Mega Evolve into Mega Dragalge. That's 594 BST, up from 494. The stat redistribution often changes its best role. Mega Stone required, one per battle.

  • In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, watch for Cloyster (Ice), Swampert (Ground), and Gardevoir (Psychic) when using Dragalge. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Dragon-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Adaptability is what you want on Dragalge. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Poison Point, Poison Touch) work on paper but Adaptability is what makes Dragalge worth using.

  • Base 44 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Dragalge is a special attacker with base 97 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.

Game Availability

Since debuting in X & Y, Dragalge has appeared in 7 titles over 5 generations. Along the way, it received a Mega form in Generation 6, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
