Stats & Training
Bulk defines Dragalge's stat line. Sp. Def and Sp. Atk anchor the defensive side, but Speed can't keep up offensively. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Def EVs.
Using a liquid poison, Dragalge indiscriminately attacks anything that wanders into its territory. This poison can corrode the undersides of boats.
Since Finizen is the better swimmer, Dragalge will approach it under the cover of seaweed, then immobilize it with a poisonous attack.
Dragalge Weakness
Dragalge's Poison/Dragon typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Ground, Psychic, and Dragon. With 7 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Dragalge's special bulk (base 123 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Dragalge Guide
In Scarlet & Violet, Adaptability changes the entire equation for Dragalge. The 494 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier. Draco Meteor with Dragalgite is the standard set.
Mega Evolution isn't available in Scarlet & Violet, but Dragalge does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Dragalge hits 594 BST.
Adaptability is what you want on Dragalge. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Poison Point, Poison Touch) work on paper but Adaptability is what makes Dragalge worth using.
Base 44 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Dragalge is a special attacker with base 97 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
Since debuting in X & Y, Dragalge has appeared in 7 titles over 5 generations. Along the way, it received a Mega form in Generation 6, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
