Stats & Training
The stat bars tell the story: Defense carries everything and HP's dead weight. But this Jewel Pokemon still yields 3 Defense and Sp. Def EVs per fight on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
A sudden transformation of Carbink, its pink, glimmering body is said to be the loveliest sight in the whole world.
It can instantly create many diamonds by compressing the carbon in the air between its hands.
Diancie Weakness
Diancie's Rock/Fairy typing leaves it vulnerable to Steel, Water, Grass, and Ground. Steel hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Dragon-type attacks completely. The Rock/Fairy typing picks up 5 resistances to work with. Diancie's overall bulk (50/150/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Steel |
| 2x (Weak) | Water, Grass, Ground |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Normal, Fire, Flying, Bug, Dark |
| 0x (Immune) | Dragon |

Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Diancie Best Moveset
Clearbody isn't flashy, but it matters. Combined with Weakness Policy for a massive attack boost after eating a super-effective hit and spread EVs, Diancie fills the defensive wall slot reliably. Sassy nature finishes the spread.

The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Diancie's Normal and Steel coverage and more all comes from technical machines, built on top of Stone Edge and Diamond Storm for same-type damage. Stone Edge and Diamond Storm are the payoff moves.

This is an event-exclusive or special distribution.
Diancie Guide
For the Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire meta, At 600 BST, Diancie is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as an attacker. Diamondstorm with Weakness Policy is the standard set.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, yes. Mega Diancie is the evolved form, sitting at 700 BST. Big power spike over base Diancie (600). Equip the Mega Stone and it transforms in battle.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, watch for Aegislash (Steel), Greninja (Water), and Venusaur (Grass) when using Diancie. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Aegislash is the most dangerous since Steel moves deal 4x damage. Ground-type attackers are also a problem. Diancie has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Diancie. It's the only ability Diancie has.
Diancie is a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the attacker role.
