Stats & Training
Cryogonal's all-in on Sp. Def at the expense of Defense. The special lean is obvious from the bars. Yields 2 Sp. Def EVs and follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
They are composed of ice crystals. They capture prey with chains of ice, freezing the prey at -148° F.

Cryogonal Weakness
Cryogonal's Ice typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Cryogonal's special bulk (base 135 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
| Damage | Types |

| 0.5x (Resist) | Ice |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Cryogonal Guide
In Black 2 & White 2, Don't let Cryogonal's 485 base stat total fool you. Levitate is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a support. Rapid Spin with Nevermeltice is the standard set.
In Black 2 & White 2, Run Levitate on Cryogonal. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche.
In Black 2 & White 2, Cryogonal fills the support role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 95 Sp. Atk). Base 105 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Black 2 & White 2, Cryogonal has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fire, Fighting, and Rock-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
Introduced in Black & White, Cryogonal has appeared in 9 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
