  • In Sword & Shield, Kartana has a 570 base stat total and ranks as A-Tier: a strong pick in Sword & Shield's competitive scene. It works best as a sweeper. Leafblade with Choice Scarf is the standard set.

  • In Sword & Shield, Kartana's biggest threats include Infernape (Fire) and Lucario (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Infernape is the most dangerous since Fire moves deal 4x damage. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Beast Boost is the go-to ability for Kartana. It raises this Pokémon's highest stat by one stage when it faints another Pokémon. It's Kartana's only ability.
