It mimics the cries of other Pokémon to trick them into thinking it’s one of them. This way they won’t attack it.

Chatot Weakness

Electric, Ice, and Rock moves hit Chatot for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground and Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. Chatot leans toward special offense (base 92 Sp.Atk) instead of trying to wall anything.

Moves

Don't skip the egg moves. Chatot picks up Agility and Air Cutter only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Boomburst and Sky Attack while coverage across 8 types adds range.

Chatot Guide

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, watch for Raikou (Electric), Walrein (Ice), and Rhyperior (Rock) when using Chatot. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • For Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, it depends on your team. Chatot at 411 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Normal/Flying coverage might be exactly what you're missing.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Chatot has a 411 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire's meta. It works best as a pivot. Boomburst with Focus Sash is the standard set.

  • Keen Eye prevents accuracy from being lowered. That's the one you want on Chatot. Big Pecks is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Tangled Feet works too if your team needs something different.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Normal/Flying typing gives Chatot 4 resistances plus Ground and Ghost immunity. Base 92 Sp. Atk is the standout stat. 411 BST gives it a workable foundation.
