Stats & Training
Beautifly's built around special offense. Sp. Atk leads the charge, Defense pays for it. Tough to catch, worth 3 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
A colorful and incredibly beautiful but also greedy Pokémon. In an effort to keep its favorite food all to itself, it will chase away Combee as they try to gather nectar.
Beautifly Weakness
Beautifly's Bug/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Rock, Fire, Electric, Ice, and Flying. Rock hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Ground-type attacks completely.

How to Evolve
Sun & Moon Beautifly Best Moveset
One guaranteed turn is all Beautifly needs. Focus Sash buys it, max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs make it count, and Swarm adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Bugbuzz. Electric coverage gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

Without TMs, Beautifly's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get coverage across 7 types on top of Bug Buzz and U-turn for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

How to Get Beautifly in Sun & Moon
Beautifly isn't available in the wild in Sun & Moon. Start by transferring Wurmple from Ruby, Emerald, or Diamond. The evolution path from Wurmple to Beautifly is covered in the steps below.
Beautifly Guide
In Sun & Moon, watch for Golem (Rock), Charizard (Fire), and Raikou (Electric) when using Beautifly. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Golem is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage. Ice and Flying-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
In Sun & Moon, Beautifly has niche appeal at best. 395 base stats means you're fighting uphill by mid-game. There are better Bug/Flying Pokemon available.
In Sun & Moon, Beautifly has a 395 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in Sun & Moon's meta. It works best as an attacker. Bugbuzz with Focus Sash is the standard set.
Swarm strengthens bug moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. That's the one you want on Beautifly. Rivalry is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Game Availability
Beautifly first appeared in Ruby & Sapphire and has been available in 14 games across 8 generations. Obtainable through wild encounters in most titles where it appears.
