Beautifly Guide

  • In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, watch for Golem (Rock), Charizard (Fire), and Raikou (Electric) when using Beautifly. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Golem is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage. Ice and Flying-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Silcoon evolves into Beautifly at level 10. Beautifly is the final evolution in a 5-stage line starting from Wurmple.

  • In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Beautifly has niche appeal at best. 395 base stats means you're fighting uphill by mid-game. There are better Bug/Flying Pokemon available.

  • In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Beautifly has a 395 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl's meta. It works best as an attacker. Silverwind with Nothing is the standard set.

  • Swarm strengthens bug moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. That's the one you want on Beautifly. Rivalry is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.

Game Availability
