Is Meowscarada Good in Scarlet & Violet Playthrough?
Grass/Dark Meowscarada is the fastest of the three fully evolved starters. Flower Trick never misses and always lands a critical hit, which bypasses stat boosts and deals guaranteed high damage. Handles Kofu's Water gym, Ryme's Ghost gym (Dark coverage), and Rika's Ground E4 (Grass coverage). The Speed and guaranteed crits make it one of the most reliable attackers in the game.

Meowscarada Weakness
Meowscarada is weak to Bug, Fire, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Flying, and Fairy. Watch out for Bug attacks, those deal 4x damage. On the flip side, it's immune to Psychic-type moves entirely. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Meowscarada leans offensive (base 110 Atk) rather than trying to tank its weaknesses.
| Damage | Types |

| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Flying, Fairy |

This Pokémon uses the reflective fur lining its cape to camouflage the stem of its flower, creating the illusion that the flower is floating.
With skillful misdirection, it rigs foes with pollen-packed flower bombs. Meowscarada sets off the bombs before its foes realize what’s going on.
Meowscarada Scarlet & Violet Guide
In Scarlet & Violet, Meowscarada looks average on paper at 530 BST. But Protean is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. B-Tier sweeper on our tier list. Flowertrick with Choice Band is the standard set.
In Scarlet & Violet, Meowscarada's biggest threats include Heracross (Bug), Blaziken (Fire), and Weavile (Ice), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Heracross is the most dangerous since Bug moves deal 4x damage. Fighting, Poison, Flying, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 7 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Meowscarada's base 123 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.
Meowscarada gets Protean and Overgrow. But Protean is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that. With base 123 Speed, Protean gives Meowscarada an edge before opponents can react.
Meowscarada is a physical attacker with base 110 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 123 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
For Scarlet & Violet, the core moveset is Flowertrick, Knock Off, U Turn, and Tripleaxel. Flowertrick leads at 0% usage. This set covers the sweeper role with a mix of damage and utility.
