Treecko Guide

  • Treecko becomes Grovyle at level 16, then Sceptile at level 36. Straight three-stage line with no branching.

  • Treecko evolves into Grovyle at level 16. Early evolution, you'll hit it before the third gym in most games.

  • In X & Y, Treecko does the job early-game if you need a Grass type on your team. Evolve it into Grovyle before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.

  • Treecko is catchable in X & Y. Check the Locations section above for specific routes, encounter rates, and methods. It also appears in 15 other games across the series.

Game Availability

Treecko first appeared in Ruby & Sapphire and has been available in 16 games across 8 generations. Obtainable through catching or hatching as a base form in most titles where it appears.
