Torchic Weakness

Torchic's Fire typing leaves it vulnerable to Water, Ground, and Rock. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that.

Torchic Guide

  • Combusken at level 16 is the mid-stage. Push through to Blaziken at level 36 for the final form. 310 BST right now won't cut it long-term.

  • Level 16 gets you Combusken. Quick enough that Torchic barely slows you down.

  • In Sun & Moon, Torchic does the job early-game if you need a Fire type on your team. Evolve it into Combusken before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.

  • You can find Torchic in Sun & Moon. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 15 other games across the series.

Game Availability

Torchic first appeared in Ruby & Sapphire and has been available in 16 games across 8 generations. Obtainable through catching or hatching as a base form in most titles where it appears.
