Stats & Training
You won't find a real weakness in Glalie's stat line. It's well-rounded for the Face Pokemon, and what it does with that depends on moveset and items. Yields 2 HP EVs, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
To protect itself, it clad its body in an armor of ice, made by freezing moisture in the air.
It can instantly freeze moisture in the atmosphere. It uses this power to freeze its foes.
Glalie Weakness
Type-wise, Glalie takes extra damage from Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel. Not too many gaps in the chart, 4 weaknesses to account for.

X & Y Evolution
Glalie is one of 2 ways Snorunt's chain can end. This one takes the level-up path, while the siblings go different directions. Breed through Snorunt to get eggs. Glalie and Froslass share the same 480 total stats, but they're distributed differently. Check the comparison below to see where each one specializes. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Glalie to get Snorunt eggs easily using 47 partners from the Fairy and Mineral egg groups. Notable egg moves include Avalanche, Bide, Block and 7 more.
X & Y Glalie Best Moveset
Nothing fancy here. Glalie builds around Assault Vest for a special bulk boost with no status moves allowed, Bold nature for the right stat lean, and HP-heavy investment EVs. Innerfocus does its job quietly.

Moves
The egg pool carries weight here. Avalanche and Bide aren't available any other way for Glalie, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Blizzard and Ice Beam for solid options.

How to Get Glalie in X & Y
Glalie can't be caught in X & Y. Transfer Snorunt from Ruby, Emerald, or Sword and evolve through the 2-stage line to get it. The step cards below map the full chain.
Glalie Guide
In X & Y, Glalie brings 480 BST to the table. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in X & Y's meta. Ice Shard with Assault Vest is the standard set.
In X & Y, yes. Mega Glalie is the evolved form, sitting at 580 BST. Big power spike over base Glalie (480). Equip the Mega Stone and it transforms in battle.
In X & Y, Glalie's biggest threats include Blaziken (Fire), Machamp (Fighting), and Aerodactyl (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.
Inner Focus is the go-to ability for Glalie. It prevents flinching. Its hidden ability Moody can work in specific setups. Ice Body is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
Glalie is a physical attacker with base 80 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many.
Game Availability
Available since Ruby & Sapphire, Glalie appears in 17 games spanning 8 generations. Beyond its original form, it gained a Mega form in Generation 7.
