Stats & Training

An unusually even spread gives Snorunt flexibility. HP barely edges ahead. But any other stat isn't far off. Common in the wild and follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve. Yields 1 HP EV.

Moves

Don't skip the egg moves. Snorunt picks up Bide and Block only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Blizzard and Ice Beam while Dark and Normal coverage and more adds range.

Snorunt Guide

  • Multiple options from Snorunt: Glalie at level 42 and Froslass using a Dawn Stone. Each branch takes the 300 BST base in a different direction.

  • Not a straight line. Snorunt can become Glalie at level 42 and Froslass using a Dawn Stone. Your choice depends on what you need.

  • For Diamond & Pearl, you can run Snorunt through the first few routes without issues. 300 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Glalie as fast as you can.

  • You can find Snorunt in Diamond & Pearl. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 16 other games across the series.

Game Availability

Obtainable through an item-based evolution, Snorunt appears in 17 titles across 8 generations since Ruby & Sapphire. The evolution method adds a barrier that wild-catchable Pokemon don't have.
