Stats & Training
Snivy's stats barely vary. None sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 1 Speed EV, 1.06M XP medium-slow curve to max.
Being exposed to sunlight makes its movements swifter. It uses vines more adeptly than its hands.
They photosynthesize by bathing their tails in sunlight. When they are not feeling well, their tails droop.
Snivy Weakness
Snivy's Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Ground |
In X & Y, Volcanion can KO Snivy with Flamethrower (206-243%). Gliscor's Earthquake hits Snivy for 36-43%. Gengar's Sludge Bomb also KOs at 309-364%.

Level 17 gets you Servine. Quick enough that Snivy barely slows you down.
In X & Y, Snivy does the job early-game if you need a Grass type on your team. Evolve it into Servine before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
You can find Snivy in X & Y. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 6 other games across the series.
