Stats & Training

Everything pushes toward mixed damage here. Simisage's Speed does the work, Defense pays the price. But you're still getting 2 Speed EVs per KO. Moderately hard to find, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

How to Get Simisage in Black 2 & White 2

Can't catch Simisage directly. Start with Pansage at decent rates from the locations below, then evolve through a special method. The 2-stage line from Pansage to Simisage is where the leveling time goes.

How to Obtain Simisage in Black 2 & White 2

Pansage is your first catch on the way to Simisage. You'll find walking encounters from Lv. 22-55 across 4 total spots in the chain.

Simisage Guide

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Simisage works as a pivot with 498 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in Black 2 & White 2's meta. Seedbomb with Oranberry is the standard set.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Simisage's biggest threats include Blaziken (Fire), Weavile (Ice), and Crobat (Poison), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Simisage's base 101 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.

  • Gluttony is the go-to ability for Simisage. It makes the Pokémon eat any held Berry triggered by low HP below 1/2 its max HP. Its hidden ability Overgrow can work in specific setups.

  • Simisage is a physical attacker with base 98 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 101 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the pivot role.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, the best way to handle Simisage: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fire, Ice, and Poison-type attackers hit hardest.

Game Availability

Since Black & White, Simisage has been obtainable in 7 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Simisage has appeared steadily across every generation since.
